Dear Families,
Welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed your summer break. My name is Miss Stacie Dixon and I am so excited to be your child’s 5th grade teacher for the 2017-2018 school year! I’d like to tell you about myself. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree, with a major of Liberal Studies and a minor in History, from California State University, San Marcos. The following year, I earned my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSUSM. I earned my Master of Arts in Education degree from Concordia University. I grew up in the nearby community of Fallbrook, where my parents continue to reside. I have a large family consisting of four sisters and one brother (whew!). Three of my sisters are teachers as well. As you can see, my family has instilled in me the importance and value of working in the field of education.
Prior to working with the amazing fifth grade team here at Luiseño, I taught fifth grade at Paloma Elementary as well as second and third grades (including one year as a 2nd/3rd grade combo class) at Tony Tobin Elementary. I am very excited to be teaching fifth grade and am looking forward to teaching the creative and fun concepts that this grade level has to offer. I feel very lucky to be working at such a beautiful campus that continues to be very strong in academics as well.
Thank you so much for the donated classroom supplies-- we truly appreciate your generosity! Please let me know if you’re interested in volunteering in our class this year. Please remember our door is always open to you and feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Again, I am so thrilled to be working with you and for your child to be a part of our team!
Sincerely,
Stacie Dixon
